All to Play for? Putting Play at the Heart of Out of School Childcare

Abstract

These are exciting times for out of school childcare with a level of recognition from the Westminster government not seen since the noughties. Given this, I will be making the case that creating conditions for children to play at your clubs makes sense both in terms of their enjoyment, and for addressing the three core conference themes of social responsibility, environmental sustainability and economic viability.

How This Connects to the Sustainability Theme

The right conditions for a child helps support sustainability in all its guises.
