Developing Confidence and Resilience in Young People

Abstract

This presentation will introduce the principles of Mental Toughness, confidence and and resilience to participants and will equip them with the tools to make positive changes to their mindset and their performance.  As well as providing the theory and science behind the concept, participants will learn practical ways in which they can grow their Mental Toughness to positively impact all aspects of their lives.

Using his experience of 15 years of research with young people, Peter will share his knowledge of tools and techniques to show how they can be adapted to fit in with a programme to support the development of young people as well as adults

Speaker Bio

Peter has more than 25 years experience in business, in a range of sectors including Automotive, FMCG, Food Packaging, and Leisure. Peter has lead divisions of blue chip organisations, such as Magna, Johnson Controls, Michelin and Autoliv and has worked in both France and the UK. In his last major role, as General Manager of a UK Division of a global corporation, he turned around a loss-making entity with 600 staff into a performing profitable £75M turnover division.

Peter is now an Executive Coach, working with individuals and teams in order to improve their performance in a variety of ways, including the transfer of coaching skills.

Peter is an expert in applying a cutting edge aspect of psychology, developing Mental Toughness in individuals, which is the subject of his current research masters.
