Out-of-School Club of the Year - Single Site

This award is for one specific club.  Organisations with more than one club can enter this award, however, they can only enter one of their settings into this award.

Manager of the Year

This award recognises the individual who has provided exceptional support to their club over the past year. They have balanced the needs of all stakeholders (children, team, schools, parents/carers, regulators, funders) and have excelled.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Award

This award is for the organisation that really takes care of the mental health and wellbeing of its team and the children. It is for the organisation that has policies and procedures in place to protect mental health.

Team of the Year

This award is to recognise the team that has pulled together the best.  They have supported and encouraged each other, reviewed and revised their practice, and challenged each other to be better.

In short they are the heart of the organisation and you cannot imagine life without them.

Inclusive Practice Award

This award is for the out-of-school organisation which best supports inclusive practice.  This can either be a club specialising in supporting children with disabilities or a mainstream club with strong inclusive practice.

It is for organisations where the needs of all children are considered, where changes are made, where team members are trained, resources and activities adapted to meet all children’s needs.

Office/Support Worker of the Year

If you have a person within your organisation who is the help that you cannot live without, this is the award for them. They might work in a club, or just work in your office, but the work they do makes your organisation run seemlessly. They might do your administration, training, recruitment or something else.

Club Worker of the Year

This award recognises the individual that has gone above and beyond in the last 12 months.  Only one person per club can be nominated in this category.

We are looking for the person who goes the extra mile to support children in their club, they are the person the team know they can rely on, parents and carers love their interactions with them and they are a joy to manage.

Out-of-School Club Group of the Year (2 or more sites)

This award is for any multisite (2 or more) settings. It recognises well-run organisations which provide inspiring, child-led environments, outstanding leadership and management for staff, and strong links with parents and carers.

Play Setting of the Year

This award is for organisations that embrace child-led play for children; a place where playful adults support children’s play as it bubbles up from them, provide a rich environment for children’s play and where children’s needs are put first.

Best HAF Provision

This award is for any setting which receives HAF funding. Best is deliberately left open to interpretation. It recognises organisations that are doing things differently and making a real difference to the lives of children and their families.
