FAQs

  • The conference doors open at 9am for a 9.30am start.

    Conference closes at 5.30pm.

    A full conference programme is published at least a month prior to the conference.

    Drinks and canapes for OSCAs attendees served from 6.30pm.

    Entertainment from 7pm.

    OSCAs ceremony 7.30pm - 8.30pm.

    Drinks and dancing 8.30pm - 10.30pm.

    Note: To keep the cost of the OSCAs as affordable as possible, the ceremony includes canapes and udoes not include a meal, please eat before arrival!

  • Book with confidence. If Club Central cancels the event, you will be offered an alternative date / location or a full refund.

    Cancel your participation 30 days prior to the event (midnight 11th September 2024) and receive a full refund.

    Cancel your participation 14 days prior to the event (midnight 27th September 2024) to receive a 50% refund.

    Cancel your participation 7 days prior to the event (midnight 4th October 2024) to receive a 25% refund.

    After this no refunds will be issued.

  • Money will not be refunded if any speakers are unable to join us.

  • The event is for anyone who works in out-of-school and wraparound care. You might be a provider, a Local Authority, a MAT, a manager or just interested.

    If your work involves school-aged children in , before and after school, and holiday clubs the content for you. You might be Ofsted registered, school run or an activity club provider.

    The programme is designed with senior staff in mind and is particularly relevant to club owners / managers and Local Authority leads however, the delivery track in particular is relevant to anyone who works with children and everyone is very welcome to join us.

  • Yes. The OSCAs Awards evening starts at 6.30pm with the ceremony starting at 7.30pm.

  • We hope most people do not find the conference too expensive. The programme we have put together represents really good value. We have tried to find the right balance between providing the event the sector deserves as a price it can afford. And, we are confident that you will learn something that will not only improve your provision but also save or earn the money back.

  • Trying to meet the needs of people around the country with different budgets and expectations is one of the biggest challenges when planning a conference like this. It is our intention to move the conference around to different locations to ensure it is accessible to as many people as possible.

  • Not this year. The cost of live streaming sessions is still considerable. We want to keep up with modern technology and are keeping this under review.

  • You will be asked to name the people attending when you make your booking. This is so we can make badges. You are able to change the name of the person attending free of charge by using details on the ‘contact us’ page up to 3 days prior to the start of the event. After this, a £25 administration fee will be applied.

  • No, you can choose which sessions you attend on the day. The programme is published in advance so you have time to read each session outline and decide which you want to attend.

  • No. We will have a photographer at the event to capture the essence of the day. Thus, anyone might have their photograph taken. It will not be possible for us to guarantee that an individual will not have their photograph taken or used.

  • The QEII Centre was a fantastic location. We booked the first conference shortly after Covid and got a very good price. It is now very, very expensive. We want to provide good value to our delegates so need to find the right balance of prestige with what we can afford. We are always on the lookout for exciting venues!
