Breakfast Clubs

Abstract

An opportunity to meet and speak to the DfE's Breakfast Clubs Team about the manifesto commitment to provide free breakfast clubs in all primary schools.

DfE are keen to hear from you about your current before school childcare provision and gather feedback on barriers and opportunities for the new breakfast clubs programme.

Biography

Peter Jackson works in the breakfast clubs (delivery) team at the Department for Education. He and his colleagues are working with Ministers to turn the manifesto pledge on breakfast clubs in to a reality. They are very keen to gain your insights as we start off this work. Prior to this role Peter was Head of School Food policy at the Department.

Lee Turner works in the breakfast clubs (Strategic) team at the Department for Education. Lee lead on the Department for Education current National Schools Breakfast programme and Holiday activities and Food programme.  They are very keen to gain your insights as we start a new national breakfast clubs programme.

Prior to this role Lee was responsible for Bradfords, North Yorkshire Coast and Doncaster Opportunity area programme that looked to improve social mobility in each are and help set up the Centre for Applied Educational Research (CAER).
