Information for Speakers

What's it all about?
Club Central is the only conference exclusively for out-of-school clubs.
The inaugural conference took place in May 2022 and was attended by over 100 delegates and last year over 150 joined us.
It’s the only place where delegates can consider their practice, their business and their team.
The aim of the day is for delegates to be intrigued, informed, involved, and inspired.
When they see the conference programme, they need to think I’m in! To do that we need influential, inspiring, engaging speakers. Is that you?
-
An Engaged Audience
If one word could be used to describe the Club Central conference, it would be ‘buzz’. The vibe on the day is a highlight for everyone involved.
And, the £289 million investment from the Department for Education in the National Wraparound Childcare Programme has placed a focus on the sector like never before.
It is a sector ready to learn, to engage and to participate. This is not a group of people coming because they have been told to.
It is a group of people who are passionate about their work and who want to take their organisation to the next level.
-
Why speak?
Firstly, if you know your topic, enjoy engaging with people, like buzz and want to be appropriately challenged, this is the place for you! You will enjoy delivering to this group of people.
Secondly, the out-of-school sector is full of passion and enthusiasm, and and whether the organisation or multinational or single-site, you can help them have a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
Finally, you (or your organisation) will be positively aligned with the sector. Your details will be added to the website, sessions will be promoted by email and social media - your participation and relevance to the sector will extend beyond those attending on the day.
-
Speaker Fees
We need to balance a small speaker budget against our commitment to paying speakers for their expertise.
All speakers are offered free entry into the conference and OSCAs Awards.
Some speakers are provided with expenses.
And we pay speaker fees to some. Where we pay speaker fees, we usually try and negotiate as low as possible whilst the conference is growing with a view to increasing the budget as the conference grows.
Please indicate your expectation of speaker fees when you submit the call for speakers.

Timeframe

Speakers will be contacted w/c 7th August to confirm whether their application to speak has been successful.
If your application is successful, you will be asked to provide a photo for the website.
